Trimming Back Intruding Connections

Project – Trimming back protrusions to allow site handover
Equipment Used – Prokasro 4.0 Unit
Pipe diameter – 300mm, 450mm, 525mm, 600mm, 700mm

Our larger equipment can be easily adapted to tackle varying pipe sizes on a single project

The Problem

Following the pre-handover CCTV survey, our client had been requested to remove x6 protrusions from various diameter pipework around the site. The site could not be signed off until these were removed. Due to the depth and location of the protrusions, excavating would have been an extremely complex solution

The Solution

We worked with our client to clean the pipework prior to removing the protrusions. We attended with our Prokasro 4.0 unit and a variety of attachments to cater for the differing pipe sizes around site. The protrusions were both plastic and clay which required different cutting heads to avoid damaging the incoming pipework.

The Outcome

All of the protrusions were successfully trimmed back, and the pipework resurveyed by our client, preventing any further delays to the site handover which excavating would have caused
